Transnational phosphorus recovery strategy

Summary

Description

This is a co-designed transnational strategy aimed at fostering the deployment of a new sustainable development model in the rural areas of the SUDOE region. This model is based on the recovery of Phosphorus (P) from waste streams and its subsequent valorization in the agricultural sector.

This model promotes the transfer of R&D&I between territories and enhances the competitiveness and innovation of SMEs in the agricultural sector through cooperation among various stakeholders. Furthermore, the proposed strategy drives prosperity in rural areas, creating employment opportunities, improving quality of life, and promoting territorial and demographic rebalancing in a supportive and sustainable manner.
