What does it mean for PTV to lead a work package in an Interreg Sudoe project?

Leading the communication package in an Interreg SUDOE project like ECOSPHEREWINES represents an opportunity to work in collaboration with partners at national and international level, building a network of contacts that can open the door to future collaborations. PTV’s prior experience in the dissemination and knowledge transfer of R&D&I projects allows us to take on this challenge with greater confidence and judgement. And, above all, it enables us to ensure that all the information reaches those who can put it into practice, contributing to a more sustainable management of wine-growing landscapes.

Why do you think international cooperation is key in an initiative like ECOSPHEREWINES?

Portugal, France and Spain not only share a geographical region, but also the same challenges in the face of climate change and its effects on vineyards. Having partners who bring extensive knowledge of these ecosystems makes it possible to address the problem from complementary perspectives, broadening the scope and application of the solutions developed.

PTV, whose mission is to promote innovation and knowledge transfer in the wine sector by acting as a meeting point between industry and the scientific community, finds in an international cooperation project like ECOSPHEREWINES a framework that is consistent with our activity. This cross-border collaboration allows us to extend the reach of knowledge, helping solutions to reach producers and professionals in other countries facing the same challenges.

What is PTV’s contribution to ECOSPHEREWINES?

PTV plays a key role in the communication and dissemination of scientific and technical information and results generated as leaders of the communication and knowledge transfer package within the ECOSPHEREWINES project.

This includes raising the project’s profile through the website and social media, producing outreach materials, managing media relations and organizing events to share the project’s progress and results. All of this contributes to maximizing the reach and impact of the results among stakeholders in the sector.

Looking ahead, what will having participated in this project mean for you?

Participation in ECOSPHEREWINES will represent for PTV an opportunity to expand our international synergies and to incorporate the technical knowledge generated by the project into our activity, strengthening our capacity to transfer innovative solutions in the field of sustainability and Green Infrastructure to the national and European community.

Furthermore, this experience adds to PTV‘s track record in other R&D&I projects, helping to consolidate our activity in the field of innovation and knowledge transfer within the wine sector.
