On 15 December 2026, the Footwear Museum in Elda (Alicante, Spain) will host the final event of the European REMAIN project, entitled “Towards Remanufacturing through Ecodesign: Damage Detection Tools and Product Preparation for Reintegration into the Production Chain”.
The event, organised by Inescop, the project coordinator, and FICE, a consortium partner, will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will bring together industry professionals, companies and organisations interested in exploring new technological solutions to promote the circular economy in the footwear industry.
During the event, the main results achieved by the REMAIN project will be presented, along with the technological demonstrators developed to advance remanufacturing through the application of technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics, together with ecodesign strategies that facilitate the repair, recovery and reintegration of products into the production chain.
The event will provide an opportunity to showcase the progress made throughout the project and share solutions that contribute to extending product lifespans, reducing waste generation and supporting the transition towards more sustainable and circular production models
Attendance is free of charge, subject to prior registration, and open to all interested individuals and organisations.
