The European project Fashion Forward Interreg Sudoe will hold its final conference on 23–24 November 2026 at CITEVE, in Vila Nova de Famalicão (Portugal). The event will bring together representatives from the textile and fashion industries, businesses, institutions and other stakeholders interested in discovering the project’s results and discussing the future of the industry.
The event will provide an opportunity to present Fashion Forward’s main achievements, pilot experiences and key learnings, as well as to explore new opportunities for collaboration that promote innovation, sustainability and circularity in the sector.
Open event
The open event will take place on 24 November 2026 at 14:00 (UTC, Lisbon time), starting with participant registration and a welcome coffee, followed by opening remarks from representatives of the organising partners.
The programme will include a keynote speech and several presentations by companies and organisations from the sector, which will share their experiences and practical case studies related to the transformation of the textile and fashion industries. The project partners will then present Fashion Forward’s main results, highlighting its achievements, the pilot experiences developed and the opportunities the project offers to move towards more innovative and sustainable production models.
A discussion on the future of the textile and fashion industries
The conference will also feature a roundtable discussion exploring how to build on the work carried out through Fashion Forward. Representatives from businesses, institutions and participating organisations will exchange views on capitalising on the project’s results, future collaboration opportunities, European funding opportunities and the development of lasting innovation networks. This discussion will help identify new avenues for cooperation and encourage knowledge exchange among the different stakeholders in the industry.
