The NEWPOWER – Interreg Sudoe project will hold its final event in Lleida from 27 to 29 October 2026. It is organised by the Universidade de Vigo, the Universitat de Lleida and Ingredalia. The event will bring together the partner organisations from Spain, Portugal and France in the final stage of the project, which ends on 31 December 2026.

The first day will be open to the public. On Tuesday 27 October, from 09:00 to 17:30, Fira de Lleida will host the NEWPOWER Transnational Forum, within the framework of AgroBiotech Innovation Forum 2026, an event dedicated to agriculture, livestock and the bioeconomy. The Forum will present the main results and activities carried out within the project. The work of all NEWPOWER partners will also be exhibited in poster format, and there will be a networking session with companies, researchers and other participating organisations.

On 28 and 29 October, at Fira de Lleida and the Universitat de Lleida, the consortium will hold its internal working sessions. They will review the scientific and technical results, the transfer, communication and exploitation of results, administrative and financial management, and the technical closure of the project. The partners will also discuss how to continue their collaboration.

The final event is an opportunity to share the project’s progress in the integral valorisation of agroforestry waste, which NEWPOWER addresses through new scalable multi-product biorefineries. It also helps strengthen dialogue with the business sector and other stakeholders in the bioeconomy and the circular economy across the Sudoe area.

Attendance at the Transnational Forum requires prior registration on the AgroBiotech Innovation Forum website: https://agrobiotechforum.com/es/asistente-agrobiotech/

The programme is provisional and may be subject to minor organisational adjustments.

The NEWPOWER project (S1/1.1/E0116), “Integral valorisation of agroforestry waste: new scalable multi-product biorefineries”, is co-funded by the Interreg Sudoe Programme through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.
