In WP1, a network of 6 demonstrative pilot farms (Living Labs) will be created, where regenerative viticulture practices adapted to each of the regions with representative climates (western maritime, continental, and Mediterranean) of the SUDOE area will be implemented, along with innovative solutions and technologies to maximize the project’s impacts across the entire SUDOE territory. This network will additionally act as a demonstrative platform for new technologies and tools developed by technology companies from the participating clusters (INNO’VIN and ADVID), as well as a demonstration platform for the best practices available resulting from the findings of research centers and universities. The trials will be harmonized to allow for comparison of results from the practice adaptation processes to the various edaphoclimatic conditions. This is an unprecedented approach in a comparable environment. The 6 Living Labs will constitute tools for systematically transferring the project’s results to different target audiences (wine sector and auxiliary industries, R&D centers, appellations of origin, public administrations, and civil society) with the aim of promoting the implementation of agroecology and regenerative viticulture principles and establishing a reference demonstrative network in the SUDOE area that maintains its long-term activity and expands its scope of action and regional implementation to other wine-growing territories, both within the SUDOE area and other European reference wine regions. All beneficiary partners of the project, and some associated partners, including wineries VINS NADAL, MAISON MARTELL, and CASA JOSÉ PEDRO, the technology company VITIVISTA, appellations of origin (DO Montsant, DO Binissalem, and CVRTM), and other organizations such as CIVB and VBNA, will participate in the development of the pilot actions.
