HITTS: A Common Story of the SUDOE Territory

The HITTS Project has produced “A Common Story of the SUDOE Territory”, a transnational narrative that brings together the shared values, landscapes and memories of the region. Based on fieldwork and local testimonies, the document identifies common elements such as the role of water, agricultural traditions, cultural landscapes and community life.
It serves as a strategic tool to strengthen SUDOE’s identity, promote sustainable tourism and provide a cohesive vision of the territory, while highlighting shared challenges related to heritage, social cohesion and climate adaptation.

#The HITTS project presents the territorial diagnosis of its seven partners to promote sustainable tourism in Southwestern Europe

The HITTS project has completed the participatory diagnosis of its seven partner territories in Spain, Portugal and France. The report identifies common challenges such as depopulation, tourism seasonality or environmental pressure, but also highlights exceptional heritage and strong local involvement. This deliverable marks a key milestone in designing a joint strategy to foster sustainable and inclusive tourism in the SUDOE region.
